Neil Howe wins the MacPara spot prize

MacPara NZ sponsor a spot prize for a randomly selected pilot from our XC Championship. For last season the winner was Neil Howe. Neil already had an XC Magazine subscription so Nick, from MacPara, has sent him a copy of "Mastering Paragliding".

Neil said: "Looks like a lot of interesting tips to read over the winter This was my first entry to the XC contest and my only attempt at a PG XC for the 17/18 year as my foot injury pretty much wiped out the year for flying. So to win a prize was for it was real cool."

Only 6 weekends to go

The season will end on the 31st of March. Current NZ XC-Champion and X-Alps legend, Nick Neynens, is still in the lead with his monster triangles and it will take something enormous by Glen Stevens to catch him up.

NZ Paragliding Champion, Louis Tapper, and James Bond lookalike, Bryan Moore are neck-in-neck for third place and are both still cranking out enormous voyages in the Southern Alps as they chase the elusive 200km FAI triangle.

Nick has logged the best flight of the season, a 190.65km FAI triangle, which scored 381.3 pts.
